Female's Strength of Discipline Inspection

Honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon! I am Haiyi Li from Wenchang Discipline Inspection Commission, and the topic of my speech today is Gathering Female’s Strength to Exhibit the Style of Discipline Inspection.
2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and it is also a key year to promote the operation of customs closure of Hainan Free Trade Port. Therefore, doing a good job in discipline inspection and supervision is of far-reaching significance and great responsibility.
I still remember a few months ago, my friend asked me a question. Discipline inspection and supervision cadres do the work of offending people, why did you choose this profession in the first place? Frankly speaking, I also felt confused at first. Until I saw these scenes. My colleagues had carried out non-stop supervision on epidemic prevention and control to protect the bottom line of people's lives and health. Also they sounded the alarm for erring cadres in time to help migrant workers recover their wages. They fought against corrupt officials, recover huge economic losses for the country and the people, and so on.
All of these made me realize that discipline inspection and supervision cadres are the guardians of the party and the people. And we must have the courage to shoulder the political responsibility of oversight and discipline enforcement, dare to struggle in the face of corruption, and always strengthen the belief that anti-corruption will win!
Of course, I know, doing a good job in discipline inspection and supervision is not an easy task. With the increase in the number of cases every year, the contradiction between too many cases and too fewer hands has become more and more prominent. And discipline inspection and supervision cadres are facing increasing pressure, especially the female comrades around me. Sometimes they rummage through the hill-high case files in order to verify a small piece of evidence, because their delicate character does not allow themselves to let go of any clues. Sometimes they work overtime to write a good report, and spend the whole night thinking under the lonely lamp while others are relaxing. Sometimes they can't even go home for days and nights in order to complete the interrogation work...
It is no exaggeration to say that they have supported the "half of the sky" of discipline inspection and supervision organs. They are not only the "iron ladies" in the anti-corruption struggle, but also the "intimate people" around the masses. They interpret the responsibilities and missions of women in the new era in ordinary positions.
I always feel those ladies shining. And the light converges into a bright beacon, illuminating the direction in which I am going. Going back to the question my friend asked me, I think this is the reason why I firmly chose this career. I will continue to learn more knowledge about discipline and law to improve my capabilities of supervision, discipline enforcement and law enforcement. I would like to shine with these female comrades together, and continue to contribute to the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port! Thank you!
